At Birkhill House CIC - Children's Solar Dyeing & Cyanotype

Join us for this two part workshop:

Firstly, learn how to create a solar jar. This amazing process lets the sun do the work of naturally dying yarn whilst you sit back and watch! Participants can either take their jar home to mature or leave it at Birkhill to be opened and used in the Weaving for Children workshop on Thursday 7th August.

The second part of the workshop will focus on cyanotype, the earliest form of photography, which harnesses the power of the sun to create majestic deep blue prints.

Suitable for 7+ but younger children are welcome if accompanied by a parent/carer
