Join Justin and Kelly from House of Bliss in this class, we get back to the roots of Yoga, Yogic Sciences, and Yoga Philosophy. We will guide students through some preliminary Kriya Yoga techniques as well as various hip openers, energizations, and breath/body engagement movements to engage the endocrine system and energy body. We start on the floor, and work our way to our feet. Once we are at the top of the mat, we will guide the class through three rounds of Surya Namaskar, a simple and beginner friendly yet powerful flow. The next three rounds will be with a little less detail in the guidance. And the class will be allowed to move at their own pace for the last six rounds, giving everyone a chance to lose themselves in the flow. Afterward, we will wind down with some more Kriya Yoga techniques, culminating in a blissful meditative phase accompanied by singing bowls and an Indian hand drum called a Mridangam.
This class is about the wholeness of Yogic practice, infusing all 8 limbs of Maharishi Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, for a blissful and transcendental experience, which exercises and strengthens the lungs, heart, brain, and body, and nurtures conscious awareness, all while cultivating blissfulness within. Regular attendance will lead students to develop powerful skills for self regulation, peace, and prosperity, and when practiced regularly, even Self-realization. We are bringing back ancient rooted yogic sciences, and teaching students how to tap in to the ocean of Bliss within each and every one of us.
