Salsa Musicality Made Simple Workshop

In this fun and interactive workshop with Elysia, you’ll learn the basics of Salsa musicality. Designed to be approachable to all levels of dancer, this workshop is about making Salsa music easy to understand, and fun to dance to!
Elysia has the ability to break things down in simple terms from a dancers perspective - no complicated theory and terms, just clear tips to help you to hear the rhythm, respond to instruments and patterns and just enjoy moving with the music!
Key Learning Areas:
- Understanding the structure of a song and how to identify hits and breaks.
- How we dance accordingly to the song structure, development and 'story'.
- Identifying instruments and how we can adjust our steps, movement and timings to match accordingly to what we're listening to.
- How our dancing might change depending on the type of Salsa music we're listening to.
- How you can find your emotional connection to music and within the dance with your partner.
