Law Students For Refugees are hosting a free seminar with academics at the University of Melbourne Law School.
Our speakers include Dr Adil Hasan Khan, Dr Richard Joyce, Dr Jordy Silverstein and Palestininan activist Amin G Abbas.
Spend the evening of Nakba Day equipping yourself with the tools you need to confidently talk about issues like genocide, the rights of States, and human rights.
The event will include:
5:30pm Delicious snacks and drinks while you view work or buy goods by local artists to raise fund for Olive Kids.
5:45pm Live poetry reading from Melbourne University students and local poet.
6:00pm 'Palestine and International Law' presentations from our speakers
7:00pm Question and Answer session
Everyone is welcome even if you have no academic background or prior knowledge of law. The panel will be an inclusive and supportive environment to hone your knowledge and build your skills as an advocate.
