Mothers are the heart of homes. Meet up with Mothers* Rebellion at the earlier time of 10:30 am at the State Library to stand in solidarity with the campaign to Save Public housing. We will join a rally dedicated to stopping the senseless demolition of 44 Public Housing Towers at 11:00 at the same location. Look for the banner 'A Better World is possible'.
As always, this is a family friendly, peaceful and healing action open to mothers, grandmothers, carers who come in good will. Children and grandchildren are most welcome to attend.
This time we will meet outside the State Library Victoria, 328 Swanston St, Melbourne VIC 3000. Look for the flags. Mothers* Rebellion is a peaceful gathering of concerned mothers and carers of the future. We will sit in a circle peacefully facing the passers-by, playing music, and helping ourselves and others to connect with our climate emotions.
Bring your own sign with your personal message. We include signs with the names of our children or other messages.
We are mothers, grandmothers, aunties, sisters, daughters and allies around the world. We know that those least responsible for the climate crises are also the most impacted.
We believe in the power of mothers and caregivers to demand climate justice. We ask politicians and policy makers to recognise a duty of care towards young people and future generations.
We will not look away.
We refuse to give up.
We will do everything we can.
We believe in the power of mothers and caregivers to demand climate justice.
