Little Murders@George lane

Formed in 1979, Rob Griffiths named his band Little Murders after a 1971 film. The band rose from the ashes of pop punk band The Fiction, a key band in the emergence of punk rock in Melbourne. As an English expatriate, Griffiths embraced 1960s English pop culture (The Who, The Troggs, The Kinks, Union Jacks draped over amplifiers) and accordingly Little Murders became the premier Mod band on the late 1970's/early 1980's Melbourne independent scene.

On Friday May 23rd Little Murders bring a swag of their own pop rock classics, chiming guitars and heavenly harmonies to the George Lane in St. Kilda. Featuring Rod Hayward guitar ( Coral Snakes) Shane Lohoar drums (ex Blue Medic) and Bruce Minty bass (ex Jonestown) and a brand new album “Under Northern Lights”

Support will be Melbourne power pop legend Danny McDonald (ex Oscarlima/Jericho).
