We are inviting all housing activists and friends to join us in shutting down the entrance of Homes Victoria’s office at 50 Lonsdale St, to protest their scheduled demolition of the 44 Public Housing Towers and the Victorian Labor Government’s policy of eradicating the institution of Public Housing itself. Also we’re against the soulless machinations of capitalism in general which sacrifices a lot of human rights and environmental regulations for the blind pursuit of profit. But back to 50 Lonsdale St. On Tuesday the 1st of July we will build our own makeshift village right on their front doorstep between midday and 1pm. Show the Government you can build homes instead of knocking them down. Who knew?
