It’s going to be a great Friday night in The Cellars as we welcome Dan DeHart, founder and master blender of Grander Rum, for an intimate tasting and story-filled evening.
Dan was born and raised in Kentucky bourbon country, with whiskey heritage in his veins and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. But everything changed when he discovered a rum that could be sipped like whiskey — neat, on the rocks, or in a beautifully built cocktail. That discovery led him on a journey to Panama, where he met legendary Cuban rum maker Don Pancho, who had relocated to establish Las Cabras Distillery.
Their collaboration birthed Grander Rum in 2015 — a line of rums rooted in bourbon discipline, elevated by the tropical elegance of Panama. Or as Dan puts it: “Grander: Panamanian Rum born from Kentucky roots.”

A clean, unaged expression that’s anything but simple. Bright, smooth, and full of character — perfect for sipping or mixing. Notes of cane sweetness, citrus zest, soft florals, and a touch of minerality.

Finished in toasted American oak barrels. Rich and warming, with notes of butterscotch, toasted coconut, and gentle spice.

Aged in ex-bourbon barrels, offering balanced flavors of tropical fruit, honeycomb, roasted nuts, and dry oak.
🥃🌴 Grander 12 Year
Elegant and deeply layered. Expect dried figs, dark chocolate, cigar box, and a lingering spice-laced finish.
