Continuing our streak of super special guests this year, we are super excited to welcome Melbourne legend DJ RANSOM to the decks in the the carpark to show the masses how real DJ's do it...
DJ RANSOM
"When not writing about himself in the third person or walking his dog Ransom can be found at Revolver Upstairs where he has run their Saturday night for over 25 years. Although primarily a Bass affair his background is in Hip Hop, Funk and Soul amongst other things. It's actually a really boring story, teenager gets caught up in the breakdance wave of the early 80s but has no rhythm nor centre of gravity so turns to graffiti and later (strangely enough for a person with no rhythm) DJing. Suburban parties in Melbourne's South East is where his teeth were cut and upon turning 18 graduated to clubs like Inflation, Checkpoint Charlie, Cadillac Bar and later to The Lounge for most of the 90s. He's also done a bunch of big gigs, festivals, supports, tours ,releases, won titles blah blah blah nobody actually reads these things until the end but just in case you have take some friendly advice and find something better to do with your time like learn a skill or something.
