Florida Tech will convene its fall commencement ceremonies on Saturday, December 13, as more than 800 students who have earned degrees ranging from associate to Ph.D. are scheduled to cross the stage. In total, Florida Tech will bestow 1,173 degrees.
The first ceremony is at 9:30 a.m. and will feature students from the Bisk College of Business and the College of Engineering and Science. The final second ceremony of the day begins at 2:00 p.m. and will feature students from the College of Aeronautics and the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts.
All ceremonies will be hosted by Florida Tech President John Nicklow.
The keynote speaker is Miguel Estremera '98, Boeing 737 first officer at United Airlines. A Florida Tech alumnus, Estremera has seen the industry from every angle. From flying 767s, 757s and 737s to serving as a DC-3 cargo pilot, he's a dedicated community volunteer and active member of multiple aviation organizations. Estremera will speak at both commencement ceremonies.
