OUR POLICY:
Beers for Queers is a small, independent event and we strive to do everything in our power to make sure that everyone feels welcome. The Fox and Beers for Queers are owned and run by queer women. Beers for Queers aims to centre people whose voices aren't amplified in other spaces.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for bigotry of any kind.
If you need assistance with problematic behaviour on the night, please notify the producer, Keely, OR ask for Clodagh or Bridie behind the bar, OR talk to security OR send a message to the Beers for Queers on socials.
ACCESSIBILITY:
~Coatcheck upstairs in the cooler months.
~Gender neutral toilets.
~The performance area and dance floor can get busy and crowded 8-11pm
~There will be a screen showing the stage in the front bar and in the upstairs Rave Cave.
~There are more chilled zones such as the newly renovated upstairs area and beer gardens.
~Some wheelchair users are able to attend the event, but are unfortunately restricted by narrow doorways and random little steps around the venue. It is a heritage-listed old pub. The front bar and pool table area are accessible from the street via a ramp. The toilets in the front bar area contain an open urinal and one standard sized cubicle. The doorway is a little narrow for some wheelchairs. For further info on accessibility for wheelchair users, please call The Fox at 03 9416 4957 and ask for Bridie or Clodagh who are more than happy to assist wheelchair or other mobility -aid users in attending the event.
~If you are feeling unwell, please don't come.
~Do a RAT before you come if you can.
~Follow covid-safety and hygiene practice while partying
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
We are so grateful to be putting on this party but must remember that we are dancing on stolen land. The Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people are the traditional and true owners of the land, sovereignty was never ceded. We wholeheartedly pay respect and support to any elders of the land reading this or attending the event. A treaty is needed. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
