With our new venue at Centrepiece, Melbourne & Olympic Parks, we’re excited to offer a more accessible venue catering to our mobs requirements, offering a covered outdoor area adding more space — so there will be plenty of room for everyone to come together and celebrate in style!
What’s on for the night?
You’ll be treated to an incredible line-up of performances, showcasing the strength, spirit, and deadly talent of our peoples:
• Welcome to Country and Cultural Dance Ceremony featuring five deadly dance groups from across Victoria to open the night in breathtaking style.
• Breanna Lee — A seventeen-year-old Wemba Wemba powerhouse from Melbourne and 2022 Australia’s Got Talent “Golden Buzzer” winner, delivering emotional and cultural performances that will move you.
• Uncle Johnny Lovett — A respected Gunditjmara/Boandik Elder and talented self-taught musician who has been performing country music since the age of eleven. Uncle Johnny joins us as a special guest to honour our Country and Western theme.
• Dungula Baimi — Meaning “River Spirit” in Yorta Yorta language, this Naarm-based 5-piece band delivers a powerful blend of soul, blues, and storytelling from lived experience.
• Stray Blacks - For over three decades, Stray Blacks has been a cornerstone of the Victorian Koorie music scene, embodying the spirit of resilience and cultural pride. As a Koorie community band, they've not only entertained audiences but also served as ambassadors for Koorie culture, sharing their stories and traditions through the universal language of music.
• Crooked TP — A proud Mutthi Mutthi/Yorta Yorta/Tongan man bringing an old-school hip hop sound, rich with cultural storytelling and flava.
• Yambra — A young Jaara RnB artist with smooth vocals and a nostalgic 90s vibe, heard across Triple J and FBi Radio.
• DJ Rivaboi — Wemba Wemba, Ngadjon, and Yorta Yorta man from Echuca (now based in Boorloo/Perth), spinning RNB, Hip Hop, and Country Rock all night long to keep the dancefloor pumping!
