Each artist will exhibit work in both locations, responding to the specific textures of the sites—their shifting ecologies, architectural traces, and entangled histories. Publiek Park unfolds as a walking route through the shadows of the colonial past to future fictions, from botanical research to reflections on contemporary life.
Publiek Park 2025 is curated and initiated by Jef Declercq, Anna Laganovska, Koi Persyn & Adriënne van der Werf, assisted by Lana Jones, Jean Watt & Alise Pētersone, in collaboration with CC Strombeek, Plantentuin Meise, Botanique, Brussels Environment, Wiels, Art Cinema OFFoff, TRACK, Level Five, LUCA School of Arts, KU Leuven, 019, and more.
