Pride for everyone is a sentiment that encompasses ideas of inclusivity and celebrates the diversity in society. It means regardless of gender identity, gender expression, sex, sexuality, romantic attraction, race, class, age, or abilities you are a person deserving of love and respect. Pride doesn't belong only to those who fit into societies boxes of 'norms'.
We will once again be at the Kinette Picnic Shelter on the north side of the Seven Persons Creek in Kin Coulee Park. Pride for Everyone is designed to be barrier-free event with no selling allowed. All activities are provided free of charge to ensure an inclusive experience for all.
We will be joined by the Medicine Hat Public Library, SafeLink Alberta Medicine Hat, Medicine Hat Women's Shelter Society, Sanare Centre, McMan Youth, Bridges Affirming Families 2SLGBTQIA+ Support Group, Pro-Choice YQL, UFCW Local 401, Miywasin Friendship Centre, the NDP Constituency Office, and Recovery Alberta. There will be free food including halal, vegan, and gluten free options while supplies last.
