Lawrence Woods - Middlesex Fells Loop

Difficulty: Moderate/ Easy

Appropriate for: Since this hike involves some climbing across rocky terrain, it is recommended for children over 10 and adults.

About Gabrielle: Dawna has been hiking for over 40 years on both pavement and trail. Lawrence Woods is her go-to hike.

About the hike: Lawrence Woods is located on the opposite side of South Border Road. It is a quiet and lovely place to get your steps in!

Starting from Gate 1, we will generally follow the Cross Fells Trail across South Border Road until we reach Middle Road. From Middle Road, we will hike to Jeremiah Circle and cross back into Lawrence Woods where we will complete the loop back at Gate 1. This route is approximately 2-3 miles.

Please park on Playstead Road in Medford across from Oak Grove Cemetery. Meet at DCR Gate 1 on Winthrop Street.
