Imbolc

Imbolc is a Celtic holiday celebrated on February 1st and is the midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Imbolc is a celebration of the first signs of spring, a time to honor the returning light, and a moment to kindle hopes for new growth.

Imbolc is also closely associated with the Celtic goddess Brigid, who embodies healing, poetry, smithcraft, and the sacred flame. Celebrants honor Brigid as a bringer of inspiration and a protector of home and hearth. It’s a time for lighting candles, offering prayers, and welcoming the stirrings of spring both in nature and within ourselves.
