Ecstatic Dance

An evening of ecstatic dance, a freeform, expressive and improvisational movement practice designed for all ages and abilities.

The evening will be led by Merryn Spence who has been facilitating ecstatic dances for several years and has done so in several countries. Merryn loves to dance and create music and has found inspiration for ecstatic dance through Ecstatic Dance Pittsburgh, which has provided a powerful creative outlet for her.

The evening starts at 6:30 pm with an Opening Circle, followed at 6:45 by a Somatic Warm-Up, with an incredible and dynamic set of music to inspire movement. Participants will dance as they please until the Closing Sound Meditation at 7:00 pm. The evening winds down with a restful meditation and sound bath at 8:00 pm. This night invites you to "Come as you are and move as you please."
