Step into the forest and embrace your inner artist at Meadow Lake Provincial Park! Experience a day of art and culture surrounded by nature in the beautiful Boreal Forest through workshops, an artist market, crafts, an evening concert and more!
There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Festival in the Forest.

1 – 4 p.m. Art Sale and Demonstrations
Stop by vendor tables for a show and sale, learn a new art technique and view artist demonstrations.
1 – 4 p.m. Festival Station
Stop by the Festival Station for event information and self-use games and activities.
1 – 2 p.m. Ink Prints with Ayla Shakotko
Join local artist Ayla Shakotko as she teaches you how to make ink prints firsthand!
1 – 2 p.m. Beaded Boreal Forest
What is your forest story? Create your own boreal forest story scene with this nature-inspired craft.
2 – 3 p.m. Forest Detectives
Calling all Junior Forest Detectives! Solve the clues along the forest trail to find out which animals call the boreal forest home.
3 – 4 p.m. Forest Sky Weaving
Bring the magic of the northern sky and forest to life by creating your own weaving that captures their stunning colours and textures.
4 – 5 p.m. Boreal Beach Stretch
Wind down your day and breathe in the boreal. Join our Park Interpreters at the beach and be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest and the lake with this gentle, family-friendly yoga activity. Sign up at the Welcome Tent to reserve your mat or bring your own.
7 – 8:30 p.m. Justin LaBrash Concert
Join us for an evening concert by six-time SCMA award winner, including Male Artist of the Year, Country Album of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year, Justin LaBrash.
This event is free with a valid Park Entry Permit.
