About the event

Singing for Good: Songs of Peace and Protest Concert
A group of DC area musicians gather to make their voices heard literally and figuratively. Veronneau, Dave Chappell, Griefcat, David Kitchen, Favorite Child, Annette Wasilik, Arch Alccantara, Jordyn Tareaz, Night Train 357 and host Suzanne Brindamour cover genres including rock, jazz, bluesy electric guitar, musical comedy, hip-hop, and folk pop. Enjoy a mix of original and classic tunes that aim to provide the audience validation, hope, comfort as well as some laughs in response to these challenging times.
Doors open at 3pm, concert will begin at 3:33pm, a time chosen because triple three is considered divine in numerology and signifies encouragement, support, and creativity. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Advance is highly recommended. Purchase at Venmo.com/suzbrindamour or message Suzanne Brindamour through Messenger.
“Singing for Good: Songs of Peace and Protest” was created by performer, composer, filmmaker and concert curator Suzanne Brindamour who feels it’s crucial for artists to use their talents to speak out against the current administration’s devastating, exclusionary policies, the gutting of beneficial programs and agencies that threatens livelihoods and lives in the U.S. and abroad, and the threat to Democracy.
This “Singing for Good” concert series aims to give artists the opportunity to unite, be heard and supported while offering support to the community. Proceeds from each concert will be shared with non-profits that serve or benefit residents in the DMV area. On August 17, the beneficiary will be Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) whose focus is building a movement for just solutions to climate change – from making clean energy more available to stopping dirty pipeline investments. Representatives from CCAN will be at the concert collecting signatures for a petition that asks big polluters to pay for climate damages – NOT taxpayers and everyday people.
