Do you want to learn how to backpack, but aren't sure where to start? Do you want to go backpacking, but don't feel comfortable going alone? Are you interested in joining a group of amazing women+ for two fun-filled days of hiking, camping, sunsets, and more? If that sounds like you, then you'll LOVE the Girls Who Hike Virginia learn to backpack trip hosted by Blaze Adventure Tours!
Our trained and Wilderness First Responder Certified guides will lead you through the backcountry of Shenandoah National Park as you learn about backpacking preparedness, safety, best practices, and much more! Highlights of the trip include a 42-foot waterfall and sweeping views from Black Rock Summit!
Before the trip you'll have the chance for a group session with one of our guides to discuss how to get ready and pack for the trip, as well get to know your fellow backpackers!
Backpacking and sleeping gear is provided so do not worry if you don't have all the bells and whistles; all you need is the ability to hike with a 30-lb pack for 4-6 hours and a willingness to try new and exciting things.
All participants must be a Girls Who Hike Virginia Member (do not have to be a Virginia Resident). Join GWHVA on their website before registering here:

If you choose a future trip credit with us it must be used within one calendar year of issuance.
