Join the visionary duo behind Mazatlán’s beloved tea salon-restaurant as they share their extraordinary journey - from a chance meeting at the prestigious EUHT StPOL Hotel School near Barcelona, to charting separate paths with Claudia heading to the Caribbean and Pau continuing his work across Europe, before reuniting a few years later in Monterrey to launch a bold venture, enduring its collapse, and ultimately creating a thriving community haven in the heart of Centro Histórico.
Meet Claudia Aguilera & Pau Vives, the passionate duo who turned their shared hospitality expertise into Casa Hindie - Mazatlán’s first true tea salon and thoughtful cuisine destination.
• Claudia, a certified tea sommelier from Guadalajara, studied in Europe and launched Hindie Tea in Monterrey in 2012. She brings education and ritual to every cup.
• Pau, originally from Spain’s Costa Brava, has worked on hotel and restaurant openings across Europe and Latin America. His surf-loving soul found home in Mazatlán.
• Be inspired by their bold moves that led them to coastal life in Mazatlán
• Hear stories of partnership, love, risk, sadness and creative vision.
• Enjoy insights into the global tea culture they’re cultivating in Mexico.
“Tea isn’t just a drink, it’s a ritual, a pause, a connection.” - Claudia Aguilera
