"Making Art When the World is on Fire," A Walking Discussion

Amie McNee's TEDx talk raises compelling questions about why creative work matters during crisis. Let's explore her ideas together. Prep: Please watch the 12-minute talk beforehand:

What to expect: We'll start with discussion under the shelter about why creative work matters during times of crisis and what that means for those of us making art in rural communities. Then we'll continue the conversation on a trail walk to explore how McNee's ideas connect to our own experiences with place and creativity. We'll have fans, cold water, and shade. There's ADA parking, and while the trail isn't officially ADA accessible, the wide path works well for motorized wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs. Just mention any accessibility needs when you email and we shall plan accordingly so you can attend.
