On Black Friday, let's explore a section of the Old Suwanee River in all its majesty, history & pure natural beauty!
Meet time is 11:00 am at Ezell Landings Boat Ramp across the river from Charles Spring. Drop your vessels and gear and join the shelf shuttle brigade as we stage vehicles at the takeout - Hal W. Adams Bridge.
Our mission if you dare, is to launch by 12:00 pm & float downstream the entire day till dinner time.
While paddling down river on the Suwanee we will paddle into Charles Spring then move down river to Lafayette Springs State Park. At the state park we will park our vessels & go for a short hike & explore some history. Things to check out
an old mill that dates back to 1855, some gnawed on trees from the local beavers 🦫 and maybe a stick structure or two.
Today's agenda means you can cross Charles Springs, Lafayette Springs and Telford Springs off your bucket list.
We will try our best 2 be off the water by 5:30 pm since sunset is early.
Please bring all your provisions & gear for the day. Don't forget food & water we will be out in the middle of nowhere. Remember your responsible for your own safety!
