‘How to Fight a New Age of Sexism’
Extreme misogyny is flourishing online, boosted by a form of algorithmically-facilitated mass radicalisation we have never experienced before. We stand on the precipice of a new society transformed by AI, a society in which new technologies risk embedding existing inequalities into its very foundation. How do we move forward without repeating the mistakes of the past? How do we fight a problem that so many people still refuse to see?
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Maynooth University is delighted to present the 2026 Dean's Lecture which will be given by , feminist activist and best-selling author who will explore the unprecedented threats this new age of sexism presents, and some of the ways we can rise effectively as a community to meet them.
