Annual Halloween Window Decorating Contest

Open to 6th–8th graders attending MMS, St. Francis or St. Paschal. Participants turn in a drawing to their art teacher and the Recreation Department will pick ones that will paint on storefront windows. More information available in mid-September. Windows will be painted just prior to Halloween.

Students submit colored drawing to art teacher (if not in art, drop off to Mayfield Village Civic Center) by Tuesday, September 30, 3:00 p.m.

Drawings should be on 8 1/2 x 11 paper only and must be original (no tracing/copying). Do not include religious symbols, gore or offensive material.

Up to three students may work together on one drawing. A student may only participate with one drawing.

When turning in submission the parent information sheet must be filled out completely with each participating student’s information. If this is not filled out in it’s entirety, the submission will not be considered for window painting. If more than one student participates on a drawing, only one participant turns in the drawing (do not turn in two or three of the same drawings).

Submitting a drawing does not guarantee painting on a window. Mayfield Village secures a limited number of windows that will be used. Mayfield Village will choose which drawings will be painted on storefront windows.

If chosen to paint on a window, there is a $30 supply fee per window (can be split among students who participated in drawing). This fee must be paid prior or during supply pickup.
