Pathfinders - Fallen Timbers :Battles & Botany

"Battles and Botany" features a walk at the Fallen Timbers battlefield led by battlefield docent Chris Manzey and UT retired professor Elliot Tramer. We focus on events leading up to the battle, its great historical significance, where actions occurred at the site, and how the landscape (especially plant life) might have differed from today's on August 20, 1794.

The street address is 4949 North Jerome Road, Maumee. There is a parking lot and rest rooms attached to a small Metroparks visitor center [Unfortunately, the visitor center is not open due to staffing limitations]. The terrain is mostly flat and easy to walk on; the loop trail is about one mile.

Occasionally people confuse this location with the monument, which years ago was thought to be at the battle site but is not! If folks use their navigation GPS with the address there should be no problem.
