On Saturday 4th Oct, Mark Gwynne Jones will lead a guided tour at The Whitworth. Sharing local stories, elements of ‘Voices From The Peak’ and reflections on the brilliance, belligerence, and generosity of Joseph and Louisa Whitworth.
Reading the landscape through layers of time reveals surprising connections and most of all Mark hopes to inspire you to unearth the stories running through your own backyard.
We will also be joined by JP of A6 trees, to learn about some of the trees in the park.
The guided tour will meet at the terrace beside Whitworth Tea Rooms at 11am, with a repeat at 2pm. This is a FREE event with FREE parking.
PLEASE NOTE: if it's blowing a hooley the event will take place in the Whitworth Library.
