'Art Share is Back!'
Transition Crich and Crich Crafters are planning a series of nature inspired workshops for 2026, starting with a workshop which shines a light on Alfreton based community art and environment project “The Ripple Effect”.
Join us for a relaxed, friendly morning of creativity at Crich Glebe Community Centre to find out more about the project and how you can get involved.
Whether you’d like to create a piece for the dress, have a chat or simply stop by for a cuppa, you are very welcome.
What You Can Do
• Create an A4, A5 or circular textile piece for the train of The Ripple Effect dress
• Use recycled fabrics and embellishments (everything provided)
• Collect a take home pack if you’d prefer to work on your piece in your own time
• Enjoy a slow stitch, relaxed session focused on calm, reflective making
• Pause, stitch and connect with creativity, with others and with the project itself
Great for a mindful approach to making.
We’ll be on hand to:
• Share ideas and advice on upcycling techniques
• Offer resources and inspiration (a sewing machine will be available to share)
• Support you whether you’re just starting or are already stitching
Refreshments
• Tea, coffee and refreshments available
• Free event, suggested donations welcome
• Friendly, inclusive and family friendly
