Miss Mathews Pageant

Mathews Market Days and The Court House Players are so excited to announce the return of the Little Miss Mathews Pageant!! This year's pageant was open to young ladies from Mathews County aged 3 to 18. We have received a total of 24 entries and sub divided the competition into 3 age groups. Little Miss covers ages 3 to 6, Junior Miss covers ages 7 to 12, and Miss to cover 13 to 18. This year's judges are Regina South, Mary VanFossen, and Casey Piserak with Christina Amaral as our Master of Ceremonies. In partnership with The Court House Players we wanted to make this an opportunity for our contestants to shine and share what they are most proud of instead of a traditional beauty pageant based on glamour. Each contest will have the opportunity to share their talent with our audience, with some girls leaning on each other and lifting each other up in performances together instead of competing against each other. This year’s pageant has Melody Barnes serving as committee chair. If you would like to attend this year's Little Miss Mathews Pageant it will be held Sunday, August 10th at 3pm in the Harry M. Ward auditorium at Mathews High School. This year’s pageant will be free for spectators, but donations would be greatly appreciated. Doors open 30 mins prior.
