Get Ready to Cast Some Fun Matawan!

Matawan Borough Recreation and Washington Engine Company #1 are excited to announce the Kids Fishing Derby Contest & Cookout is back!

• Saturday, June 7
• 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Lake Lefferts Park

This FREE event is open to Matawan Borough kids up to 16 years of age.

Bring your rods, your little anglers, and your appetite because it promises to be a reel-y good time!

Prizes awarded for the largest and smallest fish caught in age groups: 0–3 | 4–7 | 8–11 | 12–16

The NJ Fish and Wildlife Department will have some items to remind the kids to "get hooked on fishing, not on drugs."

And, there’s even more! Washington Engine Co. #1 will be on hand to cook up some hot dogs and hamburgers and hand out chips and drinks to the participants.
