Arrive for a 5.30pm start. Grab a drink and a nibble as Sue highlights some of the best new releases and shares updates from the world of books. Then she’ll dive in with her review of that month’s Book Club selections* to kick off a wider bookish korero.
*This is a no-pressure Book Club! You can choose to read the Book Club selections in advance OR simply come along for some ‘To be Read’ pile inspiration. We’d love to hear about anything you’ve read and loved too!
After around an hour of discussion the store will be open until 7pm for you to chat with fellow book clubbers, browse and buy books.

You’ll be in safe hands with Sue Reid aka Read by Reid at the helm of the Hedley’s Book Club. In fact, Sue started her bookselling career at Hedley’s and has since read and reviewed thousands of books, honing her knack for finding the pearls amoung the plethora of new releases.
Hedley’s Books is Masterton’s indie bookstore. Family-owned since 1907 and stocking the widest range in the Wairarapa, Hedley’s is a treasure trove of books for every type of reader.
