Professor of Egyptology at Yale University, John Coleman Darnell, and Egyptologist Colleen Darnell present new archaeological discoveries in the Eastern Desert that expand our knowledge of the kingdom of the Blemmyes. Described as headless nomads by Greco-Roman authors, we reveal archaeological and architectural remains that indicate that the Blemmyes were a trade empire.

Professor of Ancient History Dr. Timothy Doran examines what (and whether) ancient evidence exists for any all-female societies of Amazons, as well as for matriarchal cultures of goddess-worshippers in Europe existing before the supposed invasion of the Indo-European speakers.
