Peta Lloyd Workshop ‘Talismans and Amulets’

Join one of Australia's most celebrated contemporary artists to create your own talisman or amulet $80, all materials and refreshments provided. 10am to 4pm :) In this workshop you will design and piece together your very own talisman as a brooch, or a necklace. Brooch closures and leather cord will be provided as part of your materials package.

Explore a variety of symbols and their meanings in regard to their protective or magical qualities. Enclose your own hopes and dreams within your talisman. Choose from a range of textiles and found objects; bones, beads, jewelry pieces, sequins, buttons, shells, feather, crocodile skin, cloves, twigs, etc. Simple hand stitch will be used to attach embellishments and complete your talisman.
