Please join us for an intentional gathering to honor the one-year Milestone of Hurricane Helene. This is a safe community space to hold our collective grief for what is lost or changed, gratitude for the power of our community, celebration of all we have accomplished together, and to honor the French Broad River which runs through our town.
Throughout the Ceremony you are invited to make offerings to the fire or the river, sit in contemplation at the altar, share songs, stories, and prayers.
We have several scheduled events during the day from sunrise to sunset.
(Times subject to shift).
7 am: Opening Sunrise Ritual, Starting the fire
9am: Ecstatic Dance!
1-3pm: Ritual to burn what we would like to release, saving the ash for adornment or art
7 pm: Sunset offerings at the River, Closing Ritual
Items you may want to bring:
Flowers, instruments, a blanket or a chair ❤️🔥
Also check out other Arts events in Marshall.
