NOLI Guided Hike: AT from Sam's Gap to First Bald - Sep 20 - FREE

Join NOLI instructors Rob Schoborg and Michelle Duffourc for a guided hike north on the Appalachian Trail from Sam’s Gap to the first bald (at mile 1.8 from I-26) and back. Total length is 3.6 miles with 890 feet of elevation gain. The balds along this section of the AT offer stunning panoramic views and should be relatively cool because of higher elevation. Meet Rob at the AT parking lot near Sam's Gap at 9am (directions here) dressed for hiking over rocky terrain with plenty of snacks and water. Space is limited to 10 participants and registration is required. Bring good hiking shoes, drinking water (2 liters suggested), proper clothing including rain jacket if chance of rain (synthetic, non-cotton layers recommended) and day pack (optional).
