Classical Masterpieces In Marrickville

The Metropolitan Orchestra’s (TMO) final Met concert of 2025 features a spectacular selection of classic musical masterpieces. Led by Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, this powerhouse performance features music by Saint-Saens, Tchaikovsky, and Dvorak to blast away the chills of winter.

The afternoon performance starts with the famous tone poem from Saint-Saens, his Danse Macabre. Following this is Tchaikovsky’s own romantic Romeo & Juliet Overture where love and violence share the stage in a powerful musical rendition of the classic Shakespearean story. Dvorak’s euphoric Eighth Symphony sets the scene for the positive warmer spring months ahead to bring the concert to a fitting finale and leave all with a bright and uplifting mood as The Metropolitan Orchestra completes an amazing 17th concert season.
