Brooch Club - September 20th Meet Up - SquarePeg Studios - Marrickville

This final session is a co-working meet-up for finalising work, troubleshooting, and informal peer critique.

Expect a relaxed but productive studio day where we come together to focus on bringing our brooches to life. Bring your tools, materials, sketches, pieces in progress - wherever you're at, this is a space to get stuck into the making, bounce ideas around, troubleshoot in real time, and enjoy the collective momentum. We’ll keep the kettle on and the vibe generous.

Bring:

• Finished or near-finished brooches
• Any unresolved bits – mechanisms, titles, statements, materials
• Your questions, your challenges, and your glue gun if needed

This is a low-key, collaborative space for checking in with each other and tying up loose ends before the final weeks before our Sydney Craft Week opening.

We’ll also prep for and discuss the exhibition extras: opening night, pin swap, and artist talks/workshops.

This day is a great chance to refine any exhibition-ready work, ask final questions about finishing or pin mechanisms, and quietly celebrate how far everyone has come in preparing for our show.

Whether you’re a regular brooch-maker or looking to revisit this format, this is your launchpad.

This is a peer-focused event – ideal for jewellers with an existing practice.

Each Brooch Club meet is hosted in two locations (at the same time) - choose the best location for you - all meets are hosted via this Eventbrite profile - register to secure your spot.

Brooch Club is an initiative to bring our jewellery community together, supported by local Creative Spaces and JMGA NSW.

A suggested donation of $15 per meet helps cover running costs (you can bring it along on the day), but if contributing isn't possible for you right now, please don’t let that be a barrier. Everyone is welcome, regardless of financial means.
