If you are tempted to see what all the fuss is about and why so many people swim in open water then why not book on and give it a go!

You can never have enough knowledge when it comes to swimming in open (chilly) water. The health benefits of being in chilly, open water are huge, but you have to know how to go about doing things in a sensible, safe way.

AIM OF THE SESSION
This session will last approximately 2 hours and aims to provide you with the information so you will be able to swim safely in open chilly water. Now is the perfect time to start as the water is a refreshing chilly temperature but not too cold! The water is only going to continue to warm up over the next few months,

The session will start with a whole group talk of the do's and don'ts and equipment you may need. How to swim in open water safely, how to overcome cold water shock, signs of hypothermia, exiting safely and learning about the after drop.

There will be a supervised swim after the talk.
The length of time in the water will depend on the temperature.
All swimmers will be required to get changed together so you can be observed at all times.
Emails are sent out after the session recapping some of the information.
This is a great opportunity to experience the benefits of this amazing activity and meet like minded people. Open water swimmers are a friendly bunch.
