Black Axe 2025: The Only Way is Wessex

It’s the 9th Century and the Guthrum and the Danes have made their way across Mercia and East
Anglia to make another bid for the Kingdom of Wessex. King Alfred the Great has summoned the
Fyrd to defend the lands from the heathens at Ethandun. Will Wessex fall to the Danish invaders or
remain standing and force them back into the sea?
Come join us in the Barony of Iron Mountain and test your prowess in the many different arts of
combat! We will host the Black Axe tournament for both Armored and Rapier as well as our
traditional Nine Lives Tournament that helps support the charity shelter of Kitty Kat Haven. This
year, we are adding a special melee scenario! After the fighting, a glorious feast is to be prepared by
Greifynja Ælfgifu Haraldsdottir fit for any of stout heart and empty belly.
