Two Cousins. One Fight. Our Help Matters.
Join the community for a night of music and fun - all are welcome!
Morgan is an 18-year-old from Marengo who has already endured 28 surgeries in just one year. While she should have been experiencing all the milestones of senior year—football games, dances, prom, and walking across the graduation stage with her twin sister—she has instead spent those moments in hospital rooms. Despite being seen by some of the top hospitals and doctors in the area, Morgan still has no diagnosis. Alongside her battle with Type 1 diabetes, the toll has been heavy, yet her faith in God and courage remain unshaken. She continues to inspire everyone around her.
Her little cousin Natalia, affectionately called Natty, just turned 3. She is fighting B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Already, she has undergone lumbar punctures, blood and platelet transfusions, and round after round of treatment—treatment that will continue until at least 2027. Instead of carefree days filled with play, much of Natty’s childhood is overshadowed by illness. Still, her sweet smile and spirit light the way for her family in the darkest times.
Because these two girls are cousins, the struggles weigh heavily on the same family. Parents, grandparents, and siblings are pulled in every direction—keeping vigil in hospital rooms, working long hours, and trying to hold everything together at home. Grandparents especially feel the burden, watching one granddaughter fight an unknown disease with no cure in sight, while the other battles through what could be years of chemotherapy.
The road ahead is uncertain. But one thing is undeniable: Morgan and Natalia are deeply loved. Standing with them now offers not only financial help, but the priceless gift of showing them their community is here, walking with them through this fight.
That is why family, friends, and volunteers are coming together to host a benefit night at Niko’s on Saturday, November 8. The doors will open at 4PM, with a delicious buffet beginning at 5PM. Guests will enjoy music, raffles, games, silent auctions, and more—a night not just of raising funds, but of raising hope. Thanks to the owners of Niko's for so generously opening their doors and hearts again to more community support!
You don’t have to know these families personally to take part. It takes a village, it takes a community. Together, we can lift up Morgan and Natty and remind them they are not alone.
As the words of a friend’s late sister’s nonprofit so beautifully say:
“Love. Pass it on.”
Cost: $50 adults at the door, kids 12 and under $20, kids 2 and under free. Ticket includes buffet, sodas, & 2 raffle tickets (per adult price).
