Mansfield Candidate Conversations at Richland Source

Mansfield residents will elect four City Council members and three school board members on Nov. 4.

Before you head to the polls, join us for Candidate Conversations, hosted by Richland Source at our downtown Mansfield office.

This free, public event offers a chance to hear directly from candidates in a relaxed, conversational format — not a debate. Each discussion will be moderated by Richland Source journalists and livestreamed on the Richland Source Facebook and YouTube pages, with production support from DRM Productions.

🕖 7:00 p.m. – Mansfield City Council At-large: Shari Robertson (R) & Phil Scott (D)
🕖 7:20 p.m. – City Council 1st Ward: Michael Miranda (R) & Amber Thompson (D)
🕖 7:40 p.m. – Mansfield City Schools Board of Education: Chris Elswick, Gary Feagin, Linda Golden, Deena Hamilton, Rebecca Wayman (five candidates for three seats)
🕖 8:15 p.m. – City Council 3rd Ward: Rev. Eleazer Akuchie (R) & Crystal Weese Davis (D)
🕖 8:35 p.m. – City Council 5th Ward: Aurelio Diaz (I) & Joetta McCruter-Polk (D)

Format:

“These are not debates. They are designed as conversations,” said moderator Carl Hunnell. “There are no timers, bells or lights. All candidates are asked to respect one another, as well as the audience, in the forum provided. These will be informal and civil conversations about the City of Mansfield and the Mansfield City Schools.”

Audience questions will not be taken live during the event.
