Marvin's Room

Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Performing Arts will open the 58th season of Highland Summer Theatre with Scott McPherson’s "Marvin’s Room". The production is made possible by a generous sponsorship from TRIO Student Support Services at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Marvin’s Room runs May 28-31 at 7:30 p.m. in the Andreas Theatre at the Earley Center for Performing Arts at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Tickets are $17 regular price and $15 for seniors ages 65 and older, children under 16 and groups of 15 or more.

This deeply moving story follows Bessie, a selfless woman caring for her ailing father and eccentric aunt, as she reconnects with her estranged sister, Lee, after years apart. When Bessie receives a life-changing diagnosis, the sisters must navigate their complicated past to find hope, healing, and the meaning of family.

Highland Summer Theatre will continue with Jimmy Buffet’s "Escape to Margaritaville," June 11-14. Season tickets are available for both shows through May 28 for only $35.
