The Wisconsin Maritime Museum invites you to kick off 2026 with the first installment of our monthly Think & Drink series:
“From Grey to Green: How MMSD’s Watershed Approach Reduced Impacts of the 2025 Storm.”
Join us for an illuminating evening with Kevin Schafer, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD). Kevin will take us behind the scenes of how MMSD’s innovative, watershed-wide strategy helped lessen the impacts of the historic August 2025 1,000-year storm. From traditional “grey” infrastructure to forward-thinking “green” solutions, you’ll learn how these systems worked together when it mattered most. When the storm hit, Grey to Green delivered.
This Think & Drink event takes place on Thursday, January 8th at 6:30 PM at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
🎟 Admission is free and open to the public, with refreshments available for purchase. To match the evening’s theme, we’ll be featuring a special drink: “The Spaghett.”
