Denver Community Hike - Manitou Incline

Join us Saturday, June 14 at 8:30 AM (start time) for a community hike up Manitou Incline.

Reservations: Required in advance via the City of Colorado Springs website (.gov). Reserve for the 8:30 AM time slot!

Location: We'll meet at Maitou Hiawatha Gardens - Parking and Shuttle. ARRIVE AT THE LOT NO LATER THAN 7:45 AM.

Parking in this lot starts at $1.75/hour. We'll then ride the free #33 Shuttle, that picks up on the sidewalk next to Hiawatha Gardens. Runs every 20 minutes.

Details: This is a strenuous hike—over 2,000 feet of elevation gain in less than a mile. Not for the faint of heart! Roughly 2,750 steps. At the top, the Incline Trail connects to Barr Trail, which offers a steep but scenic 3-mile path back down to the base.

Bring plenty of water, snacks, wear sturdy footwear. If you skip leg day, probably skip this hike.

After we work up an appetite, we can go downtown to grab a bite to eat on our way back!
