Run/Walk fundraiser for Orchard Beach State Park!

The Manistee Run Club is hosting a Run/Walk fundraiser towards purchasing a Trackchair for Orchard Beach State Park on Thursday, August 14th at 6pm*! What is a Trackchair? It is an all-terrain wheelchair which would allow a park visitor with mobility issues to access our walking trails. The controls are easy to use and the chair could also be controlled by a companion or caregiver walking along the side of the chair!

The Manistee Run Club event is open to all and there is no need to sign up in advance. It will be a 5K Fun Run/Walk starting and ending at the historic Orchard Beach State Park historic pavilion. It will cross the street and do a loop on the trail, then back to the park and a loop around the campground. Beverages and snacks will be provided to participants after the run in the pavilion.
Cost will be a donation of $15 per participant and all proceeds will be donated to Orchard Beach State Park towards the cost of a Trackchair and will make our park more accessible!
