On this 24th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and two years since the Hamas attack on Israel, join our vigil in Times Square in front of the Dept. of War Recruiting Station (43rd Street and 7th Avenue in Manhattan) against United States relentless fueling of war. From Afghanistan to Iraq to Ukraine to Gaza to Venezuela, U.S.-made bullets, bombs, death drones, and missiles fed by a seemingly endless stream of U.S. tax dollars have killed millions of innocent civilians.
The Trump administration just announced plans to sell $6 billion in weapons to Israel, on top of $23 billion in military assistance since Oct. 7, 2023. And this continues with no end in sight, despite the death of more than 64,000 mostly civilian Palestinians in Gaza.
Since the February 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the United States has supplied $75 billion in military aid to Ukraine to keep this war-with-no-winners — with a million deaths and injuries on both sides — going.
And now the Dept. of War, hellbent on its warrior mission, is provoking a war on Venezuela, blowing up boats and assassinating the occupants completely against international law.
We demand an immediate ceasefire and negotiations (by neutral parties) to end these wars, an immediate cessation of all U.S. arms sales and military assistance to any country, and a rejection of the and turning away from the culture of militarism aggressively being promoted by the government.
