Manhattan KS Juneteenth Celebration

Manhattan Juneteenth kicks off this year with a Grilling Cook-off in Manhattan City Park. Taster kit tickets for $5 go on sale at 5pm.

7pm: winners of the Grilling Cook-off announced.

7:15pm: Curtis Pitts, Activist and Philanthropist with speak about the history of Juneteenth. Prior to his speech, a youth speaker will offer a moving rendition of the "History of 'Our' Juneteenth."

7:30pm: The King, Mr. Gary (He's Baack...) will kick off the evening's entertainment.

8:00pm: Juneteenth Concert featuring the Soul-Funk Band "HEATWAVE."

9:30pm: Closing / Meet and Greet with HEATWAVE band members.
