URBAN SKETCHING with Andy Dolphin

Join us for an Urban Sketching Workshop at the 2025 Plein Air Down Under Outdoor Painting Festival!

We are excited to present this hands-on workshop centered on urban sketching, led by award-winning WA artist Andy Dolphin. Whether you're looking to capture city scenes creatively, enhance your travel journaling, or develop your plein air skills, this session is perfect for you.

In this workshop, Andy will guide you through techniques for analysing and simplifying scenes, mastering perspective, and creating bold, expressive sketches. The session includes both indoor and outdoor exercises, using pen and watercolour.

Suitable for beginners and those with some drawing experience - the focus is on building foundational skills, adding colour, and gaining confidence in urban sketching. Come prepared to learn, experiment, and have fun!
