“What if dis-ease doesn’t just happen, but rather, is a reflection of the experiences of a person?”
Gabor Mate
Do you, or someone you know, have a chronic illness or seem to be plagued by ill health?
This workshop explores the possibility that illness, particularly inflammatory-type conditions such as those under the autoimmune umbrella, is largely contributed to, if not directly caused by, STRESS. As discussed in Gabor Mate's book, The Myth of Normal.
Mate writes that trauma, unfortunately all too common, can shape how one operates in the world. How a person thinks, feels and behaves. Often these behaviours can be to please others instead of one's own needs, leading to additional stressors in one's life.
Over time, this practice of ignoring one's needs for the benefit of others can dull one's awareness of stress, and thus increase their experience of it, as their capacity to identify stress and protect themselves from it decreases.
Sound familiar?
Who else pushes through, and I mean really pushes through, to get the thing done? Through nausea, headaches, migraines...
I know I have.
In this workshop, I will present practical tools I have created that will enable you to go back through your history of health and identify stressors as potential influencers of your health. You will then be able to identify patterns in your life that you can change, and begin your path to healing.
A PDF copy of these tools will be shared with you for free. This is my gift to you.
So if you are struggling with your health, please join me for this fascinating conversation, get your free tools, and begin your journey to healing.
