The Mandan Braves have established a tradition of hosting a Cancer Awareness Night during their first home dual of the season. This year, they will face us in their inaugural home dual on Thursday, December 11.
Last year, the Braves sold cancer awareness shirts featuring team logos, which came in various colors to represent different types of cancer that families wished to recognize, support, and raise awareness for.
Between the girls' and varsity boys' matches, the Braves organized a minute-long bucket pass in the stands to collect additional funds. Through the sale of shirts and the bucket pass, they raised approximately $600, which was split with the opposing team (which will be the Blue Jays this year) and donated to a local family within the wrestling community who is battling cancer or has battled cancer in the past.
We kindly request that, if possible, you consider supporting the Braves and our Blue Jay wrestling community by purchasing a Cancer awareness shirt to wear during the dual and throughout our wrestling season. Let’s show them our BLUE JAY pride, support!
